House of the heart
"She can't say what's bothering her since the divorce. She's all withdrawn. »
Her father seemed sorry for his 11-year-old daughter who barely dared to look up...
She never wanted to bother anyone, and that prevented her from expressing herself.
After a few exchanges, we settle down. The young girl is very sensitive and immediately enters a state of deep hypnosis.
I begin to tell her the story of a cottage in the mountains... With her eyes closed, connected to this world, she immediately takes over:
"This cottage is my heart. And I have to protect it from the rain!
I'm surprised how responsive she is and I'm following her lead.
- Ah! All right! And how do you do it?
- I wrap it up in plastic bag and nothing gets through!
- But if you do that, you can't go home and breathe!
- Yes you're right... besides it's already damaged, there's mold from the rain...
- All right. So what do you do?
-
Well I'm fixing the roof, and I also have to go get a sponge from the shopkeeper to clean the mold... but he's mean! He doesn't listen to me, and he's ANGRY! So I don't want to tell him I need a sponge, he scares me!
- It's possible... it happens to meet angry people. But this is important, you can't let your house rot because of his anger! Why don't you explain to him how important this is to you?
- Okay, I explain to him that otherwise my house might get moldy... Oh, he understands, he's being nice and he listens to me! So I can clean my house, and since he's become a friend, I tell him that we exchange our numbers to share a meal later! (this conclusion made me laugh a lot)
From that moment, I didn't need to talk. She went on with her metaphor all by herself... and I only had to encourage her from time to time.
She explains to me that she's cleaning her house, and now she needs a bucket.
The same story repeats itself, this time with a bucket merchant who is all SLEEPY, indifferent and whom she has to shake in order to be heard...
Once again, she does not dare, and I only have to encourage her and remind her that it is good to know how to manifest one's needs, even if others are not available to understand her at the time.
Finally, she needs a filter to clean her water and goes to a third merchant who is completely SCATTERED.
A character that she finds it difficult to channel to express his needs because he doesn't listen to her... but she insists and ends up reasoning with this restless person who calms down and ends up helping her.
The young girl then goes to the river to clean her bucket, and makes a protocol for cleaning her creation, which implies not to dirty the river with its mould!
Finally, she tells me that she invites the 3 of them to a restaurant, and that they celebrate the fact that the house is all clean... and decides that it's time to write a book so she won't get bored!
When she opens her eyes, she's all surprised to find herself there...
She remains silent for a while, then says to me "I love stories... but will my imagination get damaged if I use them too much?" I laugh and reassure her : long live the imagination, which grows when you use it!
I don't explain the details of her session to her, preferring to let the story act naturally on its own... and her daddy will tell me later that she has been much more natural since then.
That day, I didn't have to create anything. All I had to do was give her the space to express herself spontaneously.
For those who are discovering the power of metaphors, it is possible that she was talking about, without really realizing it, the 3 characters that impressed her in people:
The angry person, who scared her, who she didn't dare to talk to...
The tired person, whom she didn't dare to shake.
The excited and scattered person, whom she couldn't channel.
It's always interesting to look at the meaning of a story: sometimes they have much more to teach us than what we understand at first glance!
Children are really sensitive to hypnosis! Here is another story with a 7-year-old boy, which made a big impression on me!
